Flash floods occurred in and around Leh (Jammu & Kashmir) on Friday, 6th August 2010. Information about Indians and foreign nationals who have sadly lost their lives, have been injured or stranded in different parts, is being collated by agencies involved in rescue and relief effort.

Enquiries are being received by MEA from relatives and Embassies in New Delhi. The Ministry has been in close touch with the concerned agencies in this regard.

In order to streamline the collation and dissemination of information, a Special Control Room has been set up in MEA, details of which are as follows:
