NRI certificate

The NRI Certificate is issued on the Embassy letterhead and on the basis of documents supporting these facts submitted by the applicant.

In order to obtain an NRI Certificate, the following documents are needed:

  • Application Form for Miscellaneous Services;
  • Photocopy of the passport;
  • Original Passport;
  • Two photographs (size 3.5 cm X 3.5 cm with light background showing frontal view of full face);
  • Photocopy of Identity Card / Work Permit / or valid visa page from passport;
  • A fee of Euro 25. Fee has to be paid in cash (only at the counter).
  • Collection of documents between 4:45 p.m. - 5:15 p.m.

Note: While the requirements mentioned above are complete in all respects, the Embassy has the right to ask/request for any original documents, at any stage and these documents should be presented for scrutiny and satisfaction of the Consular Officer.
