Please be informed that carrying of satellite phones by foreigners while on a tourist visa in India is banned. Under all circumstances for others, the carrying of such devices needs to be duly authorized by appropriate Indian authorities. 

 

Visa applicants (other than those from Embassies and International organizations) should submit their visa applications ONLY at the India Visa Application Centres at Brussels, Antwerpand Luxembourg (for visa application form and procedures please visit the website of India Visa Application Centre, Brussels at http://in.vfsglobal.be ) With effect from 25th July, 2011 a new online visa application form is required to be filled up by all visa applicants.Please visit the home page of India Visa Application Centre, Brussels (http://in.vfsglobal.be) and carefully go through “Important News & Notices” and “All about Visas”. Thereafter, click on “Submit your application”. You will then be redirected to the Electronic Visa application form after reviewing and agreeing to the terms and conditions of application.Each applicant must apply himself / herself.

 

Please note: the validity of a visa begins on the day it is issued by the Embassy of India and not on the date of departure.

Steps to apply for a visa are as under:-

  • Please carefully note down the Temporary Application ID number (15 characters) consisting of numbers and alphabets, which will be displayed immediately on the Government of India Online application form. This can be saved to retrieve your application and continue in case you wish to complete part of the application on a later date.
  • Complete the application online and save the form.
  • Print the application and put your signature on the form.
  • Attach two photographs of 2 inch x 2 inch dimension (50mm x 50 mm). Photographs which do not meet these specifications will not be accepted.
  • Submit the form with photographs, documents specified in the checklist of the required visa category and specified fee at India VAC, Brussels or Collection Centres at Antwerp and Luxembourg.

 

Visa applicants from Embassies, European Commission / Union / Parliament, UN organizations etc., who are applying for a GRATIS OFFICIAL/DIPLOMATIC VISA may complete the Electronic Visa application form from the link http://indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa/ . Kindly note down the Temporary Application ID number which would enable you to save and continue with your application on a later date. Save the completed form, print it and append your signature on the form, attach two photographs of 2 inch x 2 inch dimension (50 mm x 50 mm). Photographs which do not meet these specifications will not be accepted. Submit the form with photographs and a NOTE VERBALE from your organization, directly at the Embassy (for address and timings, please see under General Information). Please translate the Note Verbale in English if it is in any other language. Applicants who do not have a NOTE VERBALE (eg. those visiting India on private visits / tourism etc.) may complete the online visa application form from the website of India Visa Application Centre, Brussels at http://in.vfsglobal.be as given in the preceding paragraph and, thereafter, submit their application at the India Visa Application Centre at 19, Avenue Emile De Mot, 8th Floor, 1000, Brussels. http://in.vfsglobal.be/contactus.html may be referred to for detailed explanations.
