Police clearance certificate
The Police Clearance Certificate (P.C.C) is issued on the Embassy letterhead and on the basis of particulars of the applicant's valid Indian passport and after verification of passport particulars from the office which has issued the passport. This process of verification may take up to 45 days to complete and therefore it is advisable to apply early enough.
In order to obtain a Police Clearance Certificate, the following are needed:
- Application Form for Miscellaneous Services;
- Photocopy of the passport;
- Original Passport;
- Two photographs (size 3.5 cm X 3.5 cm with light background showing frontal view of full face);
- Photocopy of Identity Card / Work Permit / or valid visa page from passport and Supporting documents relating to the purpose for obtaining the P.C.C.
- A fee of Euro 25. Fee has to be paid in cash (only at the counter).
Note: While the requirements mentioned above are complete in all respects, the Embassy has the right to ask/request for any original documents, at any stage and these documents should be presented for scrutiny and satisfaction of the Consular Officer.
