1. SHRI VINOD KUMAR SACHDEVA, currently Minister in High Commission of India, Ottawa, has been appointed as the Ambassador of India to the Republic of Niger. He would be the first Indian Ambassador to Niger with residence in Niamey, Niger.

2. He is expected to take up his assignment shortly.
