Visit of Minister of International Relations and Cooperation of South Africa

H.E. Ms. Maite Nkoana-Mashabane, Minister of International Relations and Cooperation of the Republic of South Africa will visit India from 12-15 November 2009. Her delegation includes senior officials of the Ministry of International Relations and Cooperation. This will be the first high-level visit from South Africa after the formation of the new Government in South Africa in May 2009.
Bilateral discussions are to be held with Minister of External Affairs, who will host a working lunch for the visiting dignitary. Official discussions will be held on a wide range of subjects of bilateral interaction aimed at further strengthening and diversifying India-South Africa ties. Broad areas will include furthering political interaction, increasing trade and investment, enhancing interactions in culture, education and science & technology etc.
The South African Foreign Minister will make a brief visit to Mumbai on November 15 before leaving for South Africa.
